Fast, innovative, fun.

I heard this was due to be released straight to “DVD” but with Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s successful role in Batman the movie moguls decided to see how this would do in theaters.

“Premium Rush” won’t break any attendance records, but, it sure was a fun two hours in the movie theater.  :-)

Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Wilee) is a bike courier in New York City.  A college graduate who has not yet taken the Bar Exam, he prefers riding a bike that has no brakes and a single gear that requires him to keep his legs pumping (no resting).

He is a daredevil on the roads who can see various options (in a split second) and choose the one that keeps him from harm.  He is the courier of the year for the third year in a row….in short, he is good at what he does, very good.  Who wants to be a suited up lawyer when you can live on the edge?

A friend needs an envelope delivered, and calls the courier service requesting Wilee.

After Wilee picks up the envelope he is harassed by a NYC detective (Detective Monday played by Michael Shannon)  who has inside information that the contents of that envelope can be the solution to his massive  gambling debts.

The chase is on….

“Premium Rush” is a fun fast movie with great bike and car chases through New York City.  No f-words that I can remember, but, with all the action, I was desperately trying to catch my breath!

See IMDb for more information.  We watched this movie in the Tracy, CA CineMark where our poster is STILL UP!!!
