“The Big Lebowski” Movie Review
“The Dude” Lebowski (Jeff Bridges) is an unemployed, very lazy, dude.
The Dude is not married, and he certainly does not have any money.
After one of the thugs peed on the Dude’s rug (one that fits the room perfectly) they agreed there must have been a mistake…..and leave.
The Dude and his bowling buddies, Walter (John Goodman) and Theodore (Steve Buscemi), decide to find the real Big Lebowski (David Huddleston) to ask for a reimbursement for the rug.
“No way, and get out of my house”. But on the way out, the Dude grabs a nice rug from the millionaires house as a replacement.
Little does he know that that rug has sentimental value for the Big Lebowski’s daughter, Maude (Julianne Moore), and she steals it back…..setting into motion a chain of events that you have to see to believe.
“The Big Lebowski” is a cult classic from 1998. Quirky, loud, abrasive, and utterly entertaining. Not for everyone, but, we loved it. Nudity and lots of f-words, so it is not for kids, but, adults with weird senses of humor should love it! Kristen (our daughter and Carol’s best friend) thought it was “weird”.
