A spacecraft from the San Francisco based LIFE organization just crashed on it’s way back to Earth.
In that spacecraft were four life forms from a comet: Symbiotes. Unfortunately, one symbiote escaped and now inhabits an EMT and eludes capture.
The leader of the LIFE Organization, Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), takes the remaining three symbiotes into the lab and almost immediately starts rounding up homeless people to experiment with human / symbiote parings.
The experiments do not go well.
Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is a reporter set to interview Carlton Drake and needing some background information, gets on his attorney girlfriend’s, Anne Weying (Michelle Williams), laptop to gather dirt on Carlton.
Well…..the interview did not go well and Eddie and Anne BOTH lose their jobs.
Meanwhile……the symbiote experiments spin out of control.
Eventually, Eddie goes undercover (you can’t keep a good reporter down) at the LIFE Organization and is infected with a symbiote, Venom, and the two……..
To see what happens, you will have to see the movie.
“Venom” is an action packed, very funny, horror/thriller with amazing computer graphics and subtle homages to Spiderman and Marvel. It is PG-13 so your teens will love it. Keep the little ones at home, as it is quite violent.
At one point Venom asks Eddie “Who was that guy?”. THAT was hilarious since we ALL knew who that guy was.
