Sarah (Madison Iseman) is struggling to write her admissions essay for Columbia University.
Her brother, Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor), and his best friend, Sam (Caleel Harris), are starting “Junk Brothers” a junk collection business part-time while still in high school.
One day, the “Junk Brothers” pick up a gig to clean out an old abandoned house in their home town of Wardenclyffe, NY.
The residence has a name on the entrance: “Stine”.
The boys do the work for free, but, get to keep whatever they find.
What they find is an unfinished book by R.L. Stine and when they open it, a dummy named Slappy emerges. They take both….even though they have no use for the book. Yet.
Shockingly, Slappy is alive, and, at first, he is helpful at dispatching bullies, but soon things turn ugly as Slappy is looking for not only a family to call his own, but, more importantly, a mother.
Halloween night finds Slappy using the old Nikola Tesla “Wardenclyffe Facility” (in Shoreham, NY on Long Island’s North Shore) to bring horrible monsters to life.
To see what happens you will have to watch the movie. 🙂
“Goosebumps 2” is a fun movie, but, not nearly as interesting, or as good, as the first “Goosebumps”. It drags during set-up, but, picks up greatly when the monsters are let loose on the town. R.L. Stine (Jack Black) makes a late showing. 🙂
