Six years after the events in “Wreck-It Ralph” Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) are still the best of friends.
Vanellope, however, is growing weary of the same three Sugar Rush race tracks that she knows so well….too well. She longs for a challenge.
Luckily for her, the owner of Litwak’s Arcade, is finally upgrading his arcade to connect, via WiFi, to the Internet….even though it is blocked off for the arcade game characters.
When the Sugar Rush game breaks, the customers find a replacement on EBay, but, Litwak (Ed O’Neill) is hesitant to spend more money on the game than it makes in a year.
He decides to cut the power, forcing everyone in that game to run for their lives.
Ralph, being a true friend, suggests that he and Vanellope go thru the Internet blockade, go to EBay, buy the part (the steering wheel), so they can go back home and live happily ever after.
Only one problem: In their venture into the wild, wide world of the Internet, Vanellope finds a game, Slaughter Race, that she loves…..and a person she comes to admire, Shank (Gal Gadot).
To see what happens, you will have to see the movie.
“Ralph Breaks the Internet” is not as good as “Wreck-It Ralph”. It is way to “busy” with sooooo many distractions, hmmmmm, just like the Internet, to allow us to fully follow the story line (I was too busy trying to look at all the cool internet stuff in the background to concentrate on Ralph and Van). But, ultimately, it rewards us with a wonderful lesson on the value of REAL friendships.
Stay all the way thru the very long credits to see a preview of “Frozen 2”.
PS: Lots of video conferencing….you’re welcome. 😉
