“Adventureland” Movie Review

James (Jesse Eisenberg) graduated from college and is looking forward to going to graduate school in New York City. Unfortunately, the families financial situation has changed dramatically and he is forced to figure out a way to make his own money to get there.

Looking for work for the summer, he finds that his degree is virtually useless in the summer job market. Seeking work at a local amusement park, he is hired immediately in the “Games” department.

James meets Em (Kristen Stewart) and falls in love. Unfortunately, Em is jumping in the sack on a regular basis with the married handyman at the park, Connell (Ryan Reynolds). Sexy Lisa P. (Margarita Levieva, who was the fake Amanda Clarke on Revenge) goes out with James confusing the situation even more.

But friends are made and life lessons learned, all-in-all, an interesting and, unexpectedly, fruitful summer job.

“Adventureland” is a fun movie depicting real life struggles and issues. Lots of drug use and drinking so it is not for kids.
