Rory (Matt Damon) wants to make good for his son. He needs a bit of money to cover all the expenses he has not paid….then he has decided to kill himself.
His therapist, Dr. Donna Rivera (Hong Chau), asks him if he has tried everything…..he says no.
Then Rory promptly gets involved with Cobby (Casey Affleck) and a gang of robbers / killers to rob the Mayor of millions in graft money….as soon as he wins the election.
Ooops….
The plan goes awry from the start and Rory, Cobby, and Dr. Rivera (watch the movie!) are on the run from the killers because they have the key to a safe where years of illegally-gotten money is stored!
All hell breaks loose….and……

“The Instigators” is a brainless, fun, action-packed, thriller / comedy, that will keep you glued to the couch from the first second to the last. Stay thru the credits as there is a mid-credit scene.
