Professor Simone Cleary (Kate Hudson) has the dubious honor of saving the once proud Literary Festival at her University…..or it will be cancelled forever.
Luckily she has booked the reclusive (and missing for the past 20 years) author, C.M. Shriver (Michael Shannon), of the masterpiece novel “Goat Time”.
His attendance will save the Festival!
After many attempts to reach Shriver, Cleary is finally “successful” and Shriver has a plane ticket and reservations in a fancy hotel at the Festival site.
The only problem is……he tells Simone that he is not THAT Shriver (he is a handyman who unplugs toilets for a living).
Since things have already gone too far….Professor Cleary is willing to chance continuing the ruse.

“A Little White Lie” is a fun, and interesting, movie about books and authors that will leave you guessing long after it ends. In fact, we are still wondering….
