Charles Heath (Tim Key) lost his wife 5 years ago. The anniversary of her death is in a few days and Charles has a plan.
His wife loved the singing group McGwyer and Mortimer, so two time lottery winner Charles has hired McGwyer (Tom Basden) and Mortimer (Carey Mulligan) to sing, for him, on the night of his wife’s passing anniversary.
Only problem is….McGwyer and Mortimer have not seen, or talked, to each other in years, and……

“The Ballad of Wallis Island” is a terrific, very quiet, low budget indie that gets to the heart of what it is like to lose someone you love and the need to honor the memory of that person, forever. Believe me, this is actually an uplifting movie with a great cast, story, and music.
