(Robert Ludlum would be proud)
Where the book, written by Eric Van Lustbader, sucked (see my book review), the movie of the same name got it right. “The Bourne Legacy” movie is a true book-like thriller with all the twists and turns Robert Ludlum was famous for.
Bravo!

Jason Bourne is somewhere, but, no one knows where. What we find out is that he was not the only one with the same genetically altered special skills. The gov’t is afraid the world will find out, so they decide to stop the project (at least temporarily) by killing the active operatives and anyone involved.
Problem is: They missed one. Oooops.
Modesto native (we are not objective when it comes to a local), Jeremy Renner is terrific as Aaron Cross special operative #5 (out of 9). He rescues Rachel Weisz (Dr. Marta Shearing) from the gov’t agents sent to kill her, and the two of them run for their lives.
“The Bourne Legacy” is a fun, action packed, thriller with twists and surprises worthy of a Ludlum novel. A movie done right……the way the book should have been done. Excellent. I do not recall any f-words. Teens and adults alike should love this movie. It may be a bit much for younger kids….
Must see!
Go to IMDb for more information. We watched this at the Tracy, CA CineMark where our poster is STILL UP! 🙂
