“Wreck It Ralph” Movie Review

(Fun)

For 30 years, Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly) played the bad guy. Problem is, bad guys do not get a nice shiny medal or the adulation that the good guys get.
Ralph decides he wants to be a good guy.
After the arcade closes, Ralph heads off to other arcade games to find his niche as a good guy.
What he finds is……himself…..and true friendship.
“Wreck It Ralph” is a fun movie. OK for kids and adults alike. No f-words, in fact, no cussing at all. I particularly liked the homages (at least in my mind) to Monsters, Inc (Game Central Station, which looks like Grand Central Station), Star Wars (pod racing), and, for the very old among us, a homage to the late great Ed Wynn.
The graphics are amazing.
Go to IMDb for more information. We watched this at the Tracy, CA CineMark where our poster is STILL UP! 🙂

For some, Ralph’s spell in Sugar Rush’s candy-coloured world may induce hyperglycaemia… but hard-core gamers will have a blast picking up all the gaming in-jokes and references that fly over everyone else’s heads.
Thanks for commenting! 🙂
Though it falls for the conventions we hate to see in these types of movies, it still has plenty of heart and fun that it definitely makes the final-product all the more better. Good review Mike.
Thanks! 🙂
