A teenager, Pi Patel (played as a teen by Suraj Sharma) leaves India on a cargo ship with his family and their zoo animals.
A storm in the middle of the Pacific Ocean sinks the cargo ship killing everyone but Pi, a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger. It is survival of the fittest in a lifeboat in the middle of nowhere.
“Life of Pi” is an outstanding movie as told by the adult Pi (played by Irrfan Khan) to a writer. No f-words, ok for kids (but it may be a bit intense and violent for the youngest) and adults. The cinematography is stunning as is the acting. Oscars will follow. It is fairly long, but, was so intriguing and unique that the time flew by, leaving you wanting more.
Must see.
