“Stretch” Movie Review
Stretch (Patrick Wilson) has spent the year since being dumped by his beautiful girlfriend doing drugs, gambling, and otherwise screwing himself up.
Now driving a stretch limo, his life is not much better as the limo company is in danger being put out of business by another, more aggressive, company and he owes his bookie $6,000…tonight! A plan is hatched to steal business from the other company, and Stretch is all for it (he needs the quick money). The limo dispatcher, Charlie (Jessica Alba), agrees to give him the stolen assignments.
One of the stolen clients is a crazy billionaire, Roger Karos (Chris Pine), who takes Stretch on a wild night of debauchery with the promise of paying off his $6,000 debt.
In a sub-plot, Stretch has signed up for an online dating service and he and a woman are texting each other planning to meet when both are free. But, this is a crazy night for both of them, so their plans have to remain fluid.
“Stretch” is a good movie. Funny with plenty of action and intrigue. Not for kids.
