“Survivor” Movie Review

Kate Abbott (Milla Jovovich) is a hot shot security agent sent to London to act as the last line of defense for filtering possible terrorists seeking visas to the U.S.A.  She does her job well and as such is targeted to die.

Sent to kill Abbott is the assassin called “The Watchmaker” (Nash, played by Pierce Brosnan).  He promptly blows up the restaurant the visa team is having lunch at….killing all but Abbott who went across the street to buy something.  He misses again when she leaves the store…and the chase is on to kill the fleeing Abbott before she figures out the plot to kill millions.

Luckily, for Nash, almost everyone in the U.S. and British governments have turned against Abbott, thinking she is the killer.

Targeting Times Square on New Years Eve, Nash and Abbott are in a race against time.

The ball is dropping:  Does Nash win….or lose?  You will have to watch “Survivor” to find out.

“Survivor” is a tense, taut, thriller definitely worth the money and time.  Pierce Brosnan as a bad guy is different and effective.  Milla Jovovich is terrific. Not for kids.  There is one very funny curse uttered by Brosnan as his technology fails him at a crucial time: “Fucking technology”.   One line where someone tells Jovovich that she knows that Abbott “likes the underworld” is hilarious.
