“It’s A Wonderful Life” Movie Review

5-Watertowers ForCarol.com Movie Reviews College Scholarships(Wonderful Christmas Classic)

All George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) wants to do is travel the world.

its a wonderful life blog

Unfortunately, circumstances always go against George forcing him to stay in Bedford Falls. For example, when his father dies, George takes over the struggling Bailey Building & Loan.

George has a big heart and helps everyone he can. He gives them time to pay back loans, he sells them homes for a reasonable price, and gives people money when they need it even though he knows they can’t pay him back. He saved his brother from drowning and saved the local pharmacist from killing someone.

Luckily, George falls in love with childhood friend, Mary (Donna Reed), and together they have four children.

But George does not travel the world, nor, can he rope the moon for Mary.

One day, Uncle Billy (Thomas Mitchell), accidentally loses the bank deposits and George is going to be put in jail.  Depressed, George thinks about killing himself until his Guardian Angel, Clarence (Henry Travers), steps in to save him by showing him how life for everyone would be different had George never been born.

“It’s A Wonderful Life” is a yearly must watch for us at Christmas time.  I am pretty sure everyone reading this knows the story and has watched it multiple times as well.  Great for the whole family.  And Bert and Ernie are in it!  🙂

Go to IMDb for more information.  We watch this either on DVD or TV every year for 30 plus years.
