“The Divergent Series: Allegiant” Movie Review

4-Watertowers ForCarol.com Movie Review(The World Beyond the Wall)

With the death of their previous leader, the factions are disbanded and terror rules.

allegiant 2Tris (Shailene Woodley), Four (Theo James), and the rest of the motley crew decide it is time to scale the wall to see what lies beyond.

If there is nothing beyond the wall, no loss, but, if there is something….interesting discovery.

Well….they find something, and someone, David (Jeff Daniels), who has been watching, and manipulating, the citizens of Chicago for a very very long time. It turns out, they are a research experiment in human genetics, and Tris is the only one who passed the experiment (she is “pure”). All the others are “damaged”.

The motley crew find work in David’s organization but something is not right, in fact, something is evil.

Back in Chicago, war breaks out between Evelyn (Naomi Watts) and the normally passive Johanna (Octavia Spencer).

All hell is breaking loose……then the movie ends. Stay tuned for the finale in June 2017.

“Allegiant” is a fun, exciting, fantasy. Do not listen to the critics, who seem to be out to trash this movie. It is good, in fact, it is excellent. Great special effects, stunts, an interesting plot (yes, there is a plot…to be finished next year), and intrigue.

The “critics” need to get a life, and maybe they should read a book once in a while. Plot lines take time to develop, this movie’s plot is in development as it is based on a book.

Good for the whole family except for the violence which may be too much for the little ones.

Go to IMDb for more information.  We watched this at the Tracy, CA CineMark.
