“Bridget Jones’s Baby” Movie Review
Twelve years after “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason” we find that Bridget’s (Renee Zellweger) life has not changed a whole lot. She is now 43, still single, and working as a TV producer. Bridget gave up smoking and is about to meet a handsome American millionaire and re-unite with an old flame.
At an outdoor concert with her friend, Bridget is dressed inappropriately (high heels and white pants) and falls flat on her face in the mud. She is rescued by handsome American dating site founder, Jack (Patrick Dempsey).
One thing leads to another and Jack and Bridget have “relations”.
A few days later, back at home, Bridget runs into Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) at the memorial for missing and presumed dead, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant). Mark is married now to Camilla (Agni Scott) but is still the aloof, stand-offish, lawyer he always was. We later find out that all is not wedded bliss in the Darcy family. So…..
One thing leads to another and Mark and Bridget have “relations”.
Three months later, Bridget finds out that she is pregnant! OMG…..the father could be either Jack or Mark.
The fun begins!
“Bridget Jones’s Baby” is a fun, laugh-out-loud, movie with a fine cast. It is nice to have Renee Zellweger back and making movies. Hugh Grant is not in this movie, but, Colin Firth is. Both are fantastic, as is McDreamy.
Not for kids as this is rated “R” with lots of f-words, sexual situations, and a surprising booby flash.
The ending is shocking!
Drive Safe! Never Forget.
