“Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” Movie Review
Retired Army Major, Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise), is working as an independent contractor for Major Turner (Cobie Smulders) in the Army CID (Criminal Investigation Command).
After busting a small town sheriff for human trafficking (on Army property), Reacher makes a dinner “date” with Turner the next time he is in D.C.
Arriving in D.C. a few days later, Reacher finds out that Turner has been arrested and is in a high security brig….for treason! WTF….
Knowing that Turner is being framed, Reacher busts her out of jail, and the two of them set out to find out who framed her, who killed her people in Afghanistan….and why.
In a second but interwoven subplot, Reacher may or may not have a 15 year old daughter. Finding Samantha (Danika Yarosh), Reacher also finds a kindred spirit who joins him, and Turner, in the hunt for the bad guys.
“Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” is a fun, action filled, thriller with two interesting plots. Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, and Danika Yarosh make a great team. Rated PG-13 for lots of violence (but not gory).
Coolest part? Lee Child as a TSA agent. Don’t know who Lee Child is? Google him. 🙂 The people in our theater probably thought I was crazy when I yelled out “That’s Lee Child!”. (Remember I read lots of books…mostly Thrillers….as TracyReaderDad.com)
