“The Mechanic” Movie Review
Arthur Bishop is a killer for hire.
His specialty, much like John Rain, is to kill while making it look like an accident or natural causes. But, sometimes, he just kills.
Working with a trusted adviser, Harry McKenna (Donald Sutherland), the hit jobs went smoothly and kept coming. One day, checking the job web site, Bishop sees that his next kill is to be McKenna.
Oh, Oh…..that cannot be good.
Not sure he wants to do this, Bishop sets up a meeting with the person ordering the hits, Dean (Tony Goldwyn). He comes away convinced that killing McKenna is the right thing to do and reluctantly completes the task.
But….guilt follows him. After all, he and McKenna made a good team and grew close over the years.
Steve McKenna is Harry’s estranged son. Steve wants Bishop to teach him the “Mechanic” trade (eventually to find and kill the people responsible for his dad’s death). Bishop thinks training a new person to handle the growing list of hits is a good idea, but, Dean does not…..and puts out a hit on Bishop.
Not a good move, as Bishop turns the tables and hunts Dean.
“The Mechanic” is action filled, bloody, and brutal. Not for kids. Statham rocks.
Drive Safe! Never Forget.
