“Sisters” Movie Review
Maura Ellis (Amy Poehler) and Kate Ellis (Tina Fey) are adult aged sisters who have not quite grown up.
Upon hearing the news that their parents, Bucky (James Brolin) and Deana (Dianne Wiest), are selling the family home, the two sisters kinda freak out.
While they clean up their bedroom, they decide to throw one last “Ellis Island” party to say goodbye to the old place.
Inviting all their old friends, who are now married with children, they find out that a party with a bunch of “old” people is not a lot of fun, so they take matters into their own hands to liven it up!
The party gets out of hand and the house is pretty much destroyed……
“Sisters” is a very funny, brainless, movie. Not for kids. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are great together, of course, and James Brolin is fantastic in a small part as the droll father.
