Lena Duchannes (Alice Englert) has just moved in with her uncle, Macon Revenwood (Jeremy Irons).
At school, Lena is different than the other kids, and is suspected of being a witch. One day in class several girls (mean girls) are making fun of Lena when suddenly the windows in the classroom explode inward, injuring some of the students.
Yup, the exploding windows were caused by Lena, and yes she is a witch, or a Caster, and in 75 days she will turn 16 at which time she will learn if she will be a dark caster or a light caster. Evil or good.
She is afraid she will be evil like her sister and mother.
Lena meets Ethan Wate (Alden Ehrenreich) and the two fall madly in love, but, as Lena learns……witches and mortals falling in love is dangerous for both.
“Beautiful Creatures” is based on a book of the same name and is a very good fantasy. Great for teens and adults alike.
