“The Nice Guys” Movie Review
Misty Mountains (Murielle Tello) dies in a car crash. Misty was a porn star in 1977 Los Angeles and is one of a growing number deaths of people who worked on a certain “experimental” (i.e. porn) film.
The two team up to find Amelia Kuttner (Margaret Qualley) who is one of the last living individuals from the “experimental” film. She also happens to be the daughter of the head of the United States Justice Department, Judith Kuttner (Kim Basinger).
Jackson and Holland, with help from Holland’s 13 year old daughter (Holly, played by Angourie Rice), uncover details of crimes that reach into the highest levels of Government, putting their lives in extreme danger.
“The Nice Guys” is terrific fun! Not for kids as there is sex, violence, and f-words galore. The dialogue consists of about 1,000 one-liners and is very funny. Crowe, Gosling, and Rice shine! I hope there is a part 2 sometime in the future.
