Government computer networks are being taken over by hackers.  The whole country is in chaos as traffic lights, power outages, and accidental deaths, wreak havoc among innocent civilians and law enforcement alike.

All the hackers currently known to law enforcement are scheduled to be rounded up by local police and the FBI for questioning. The problem is….before the cops get to them…..they are being killed.

John McClain (Bruce Willis) has been asked to grab hacker, Matt Farrell (Justin Long) for questioning.  Luckily for Farrell, McClain is there when the killers attack.

Farrell and McClain escape (barely) and head out to FBI HQ in Washington, DC where they find out the extent of the hacking operation and start to narrow in on who is doing it, and why.

The race is on for McClain and Farrell to stop the hackers before all hell breaks loose.

“Live Free or Die Hard” is a 2007 sequel of the popular “Die Hard” series.  McClain’s daughter, now an adult, Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), is kidnapped which just pisses McClain off, and you know what happens when John gets pissed.  Bad move bad guys.  😉

My favorite quote (Matt to Lucy): “I know that tone. It just sounds funny coming from someone with hair.”

Lots of action, great fun, great stunts, fun movie.
