“Preggoland” Movie Review

Ruth (Sonja Bennett) is 35 years old and the last of her college friends that is single and childless. Her weird, party friendly, sense of humor is alienating her from her more grown-up friends, who, sadly tell her to take a hike. She does not listen.

One day while shopping for a shower gift (a stroller) for one of these friends, the store clerk asks how far along she is.  That got Ruth to thinking: What would happen if she faked being pregnant?

With stuffing, and the eventual help of coworker, Pedro (Danny Trejo), Ruth experiences “pregnancy” for the next nine months……until the day finally arrives when she has the “baby”.

“Preggoland” is a funny, sometimes touching, take on the trials and tribulations of growing up.  Ruth’s “water” breaking is one of the most hilarious movie scenes ever!  That scene alone is worth the rental cost.  🙂
