Danny Ocean (George Clooney) just spent the last 5 years in jail.  He evades the question of whether or not he will fall right back into his old ways if released, but, they release him anyway.

The instant Danny gets out, he starts planning to rob three Las Vegas Casinos owned by Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia).  Why Benedict?  Well, he “stole” Danny’s wife while he was incarcerated: Tess (Julia Roberts). Danny wants Tess back and wants Terry to pay dearly for his mistake.

The problem is: Robbing the highly secure Bellagio Casino vault (where $159 million from three casinos is kept on fight night) will take tons of money, planning, expertise, and the right number of people……at least 11 of them to cover all their needs.

Danny and his friend, Rusty Ryan (Brad Pitt), start recruiting the remaining 10 members of the team and, once the team is together, they all get to work planning and practicing.

Finally the day of the heist arrives (a heavyweight boxing match) and the team……

Hmmm, do they steal the money?  Does Danny get Tess back?  Or do they get caught?

To find out, you will have to watch the movie. 😉

“Ocean Eleven” is a fast-paced classic from 2001.  Lots of fun with lots of moving pieces.  We had it in our stash of older Blu-Rays, and read somewhere that it would be good to watch before seeing “Oceans 8”.  In fact, we are going to binge on 12 and 13 too.  🙂
