“Oceans Thirteen” Movie Review

Reuben (Elliott Gould) is looking forward to the opening of his new casino. He feels he is back in the game as he gets older and is super excited about being relevant again.
Unfortunately, Reuben’s shady ass partner, Willy Bank (Al Pacino), feels that Reuben is dead weight and dumps him. After threatening his life, Willy forces Reuben to sign away everything Reuben has worked for.
Reuben promptly has a heart attack.
In the hospital, the “Oceans Thirteen” team vows to get back at Willy for what he did to Reuben, and the planning begins to make the opening, and everyday thereafter, of the new casino a miserable failure.
“Oceans Thirteen” is different than the first two movies in that the team is not doing this for money. They are doing it for revenge. And a sweet revenge it is.
This was the last “Oceans” movie…..until this weekend, 11 years later, when “Oceans 8” came out in theaters. See my review of “Oceans 8” later this week, probably Saturday. 🙂
