“Tomb Raider” Movie Review
Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) is barely eeeking out a living delivering food for a restaurant, and to make matters even worse, she is about to lose her gym privileges since she can’t pay her bill. Yikes!
It’s been seven years since her father, Richard (Dominic West) left / disappeared on his last adventure, and the time is now to declare him dead.
Lara is summoned to Croft Industries HQ to sign the papers so she can take over the company and collect billions of inheritance money, that she does not want.
“I’m not that kind of Croft”
Before she signs the papers, the lawyer makes the mistake of giving Lara an ancient puzzle box from her father. Lara is REALLY good at opening these things and does so. Inside is the first clue: The first letter at my final destination is the start of the adventure (or something like that) with a key.
Running out the office without signing the papers, Lara starts an adventure that leads her to a mysterious hidden island near Japan…….where death awaits.
To find out what happens, you will have to watch the movie.
“Tomb Raider” is a fun, action-packed, adventure totally worth the cost of a rental. Alicia Vikander is a terrific successor to Angelina Jolie. I hope they make another, but, I kinda doubt it. 😦
