“Pokemon Detective Pikachu” Movie Review

Tim Goodman (Justice Smith) is working as an insurance adjuster and hunting Pokemon for fun.

After an interesting hunt one day, he and his friend come back to the city to find out that Tim’s father, a Detective, has been killed in Ryme City. Tim travels to Ryme City to say his last goodbyes and to take care of final business.

In his fathers office, much to Tim’s surprise, his Dad’s partner (also thought to be dead) shows up! It is Pikachu (Ryan Reynolds), and even more surprisingly, he understands Pikachu!

Pikachu has memory loss, but, knows for sure that Tim’s Dad is alive and needs to be found. So the two of them, with help from a local news reporter, Lucy Stevens (Kathryn Newton) and her Pokemon partner (PsyDuck), set off on the adventure of a lifetime… find dear old Dad.

“Pokemon Detective Pikachu” is a fun, at times very funny, action-filled, movie. It makes me wish I paid more attention to Pokemon when the kids were young, but, I will download the Pokemon app as soon as it works on Android Q Beta on my Pixel 3 XL, yeah, I tried already. 😉

Good movie for the while family.

Oh, I had help writing this review….
