“Hotel Transylvania 2” Movie Review

Picking up where “Hotel Transylvania” left off, vampire Mavis (Selena Gomez) and human Jonathan (Andy Samberg) get married!

Dracula (Adam Sandler) has now accepted humans (well, kinda) and throws the happy couple a huge party inviting monsters and humans alike. It is a wonderful affair.

Fast forward one year and Mavis informs Dracula that she is pregnant! Dad is VERY happy, but, is also hopeful that the new baby will be a vampire.

After Dennis (Asher Blinkoff) is born, there are no signs that Dennis will be a vampire, but, Dracula loves his grandson with all his heart and is willing to accept whatever the outcome.

“Maybe Dennis is a slow fang-er” and we just have to wait.

In the meantime, the kids (Mavis and Jonathan), look at moving to Santa Cruz just in case Dennis stays human even though Jonathan loves Transylvania. “I can be myself here” he tells Dracula.

So Dracula and Jonathan hatch a plan……

To see what happens, you will have to watch the movie.

“Hotel Transylvania 2” is great fun, full of action, laughs, and not-so-subtle digs at modern life and technology. If you follow this blog, you know we are HUGE fans of all the Adam Sandlers’ (goofy, stupid, serious, etc) and here…..he is amazing. Selena and Andy are equally terrific. Great for the whole family with only cartoonish violence and peril.
