“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” Movie Review

A confession, and all you thought you ever knew about the story of “Sleeping Beauty” changes forever.

But, I am getting ahead of myself.

Aurora (Elle Fanning) is now the Queen of her realm and all the special creatures of that land are peaceful and happy.

The humans, who live across the river, are less happy, but, Prince Philip (Harris Dickinson) is about to ask Aurora for her hand in marriage…if only he can get the nerve to do it.

With the encouragement of fairies, he does, and everyone is looking forward to the joyous wedding…..except, of course, the two mothers Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) and Queen Ingrith (Michelle Pfeiffer). But, they suck it up and try to be nice.

Problem is…..one is evil and the other one has a nasty temper. And all hell breaks loose as war between the two realms breaks out….just as the evil mother planned.

Can love prevail? Or does evil triumph?

To find out, you will have to watch the movie. 🙂

“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” is a fantastic movie. Unbelievable computer graphics bring fairies, trees, and other creatures to life in an abundance of color and movement. Stunning. Angelina Jolie, Michelle Pfieffer and Elle Fanning all all terrific.

Not sure why it is “tanking” in the box office (even though it WAS #1 this past weekend), but, the theater we were in was full and the audience clapped and cheered at the end. They, and we, loved it!

Oh yeah….pay attention for that confession. It will blow you away and change your life forever.
