“Ford v Ferrari” Movie Review and Trailer

Lee Iacocca (Jon Bernthal) has an idea how to turn the fate of Ford Motor Company around from being an old people’s car line to one that appeals to the young people of the 1960’s (errrr, ME!). 🙂

Win the 24 hour race at the 1966 Le Mans and finally beat the hated Ferrari.

To do that, Ford (led by the less than effective Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts)) has to agree to give carte blanche to an outside race car designer….Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and his team of hot shot builders, and, an unknown driver / mechanic, Ken Miles (Christian Bale).

Well…..giving full control to Shelby and his team is hard for a corporation steeped in layers of management and slow decision making……tensions and conflicts rule the day.

To get the Shelby race car done in 9 months is probably never going to happen, then……

Oh, to see what happens, you will have to watch the movie. 🙂

“Ford v Ferrari” is a fantastic movie based on the true story of the lead-up to the 1966 Le Mans race and the genius of Carroll Shelby and team.

We streamed this movie in 4k UHD using Fandango NOW.
