“The Half of It” Movie Review and Trailer

Ellie Chu (Leah Lewis) is painfully shy, but, the smartest student in her high school.

And she has a part-time job: Writing essays for many of the students. 🙂

Ellie’s mother died a few years ago, and her father, Edwin (Colin Chou), has been depressed ever since. He has a PhD in Engineering, but, since his English is not the best….yet….he took a job as a train station manager.

Money is tight and to pay $50 to keep the electricity on, Ellie accepts a job from Paul Munsky (Daniel Diemer) to write a love letter to his crush, Aster Flores (Alexxis Lemire).

Trouble is, Ellie has zero experience in love…and writing the letter is a difficult task.

Then Ellie gets to know Aster, and suddenly, writing love letters gets very much easier.

In fact…..

Oh, to see what happens, you will have to stream the movie on Netflix. 🙂

“The Half of It” is a fantastic real-life movie about love, being yourself, and accepting others who are different than you.
