Molly Bloom (Jessica Chastain) was a world class free-style skier (moguls) when she fell and re-injured an old back injury. Her athletic career was over.
Waiting to go to law school, Molly picked up a part-time job helping someone run a high-stakes poker game that included celebrities, CEO’s, and other high powered, high income players.
Molly took to this very well, so well in fact, that she started her own poker game and took the clients with her.
But all was not easy as eventually some players (one famous Spidey actor for example) tried to tell Molly how to run the game and limit her tips.
Molly kind of told him to fuck off and she started another, even higher stakes game in another city, where unfortunately, organized crime got involved.
One thing led to another and Molly…..

“Molly’s Game” is a fun thriller based on a true story, and book, by Molly Bloom, but, truthfully it is a bit distracting with the excessive narration.
