“The Art of Racing in the Rain” Movie Review and Trailer

As this very depressing movie starts, Golden Lab Enzo (Kevin Costner), is dying, lying is his own urine. He is not afraid to die, as he knows he will be reincarnated as a man.

Then he remembers his life with Denny…..

Denny (Milo Ventimiglia) is a race car driver who has a skill: racing the rain.

One day, Denny, who is single, sees a sign advertising puppies for sale. On a whim, Denny looks at the pups and he and Enzo find each other.

Living a great life with Denny, Enzo finds out that he LOVES watching TV and going to the racetrack.

Denny loves Enzo with all his heart and Enzo loves Denny with all his heart.

Then tragedy strikes as Denny meets Eve (Amanda Seyfried) and Enzo’s life changes forever.

Yup, Denny and Eve get married!

Years go by and the family is happy and content (except for Eve’s shithead parents) when a new love enters Enzo’s life…..a baby!

“The Art of Racing in the Rain” is the single most depressing movie I can remember. I only watched it because Lori wanted to see it and it was free during Comcast’s free week. If were me….I would have skipped it…..and I wish I did.

You can stream it, if YOU want to be depressed (as if the Coronavirus and an Orange idiot for a leader are not depressing enough) somewhere.

As for me…..I will vote for sanity in November and do my best to forget this movie the instant I stop writing (even though it was a pretty damn good movie, overall).
