“Enola Holmes” Movie Review

Sherlock, Enola, Mycroft

Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) is much younger than her older brothers, Mycroft (Sam Clafin) and Sherlock (Henry Cavill). As such, growing up, it was just her free-spirited mother, Eudoria (Helena Bonham Carter), and her facing the world together.

Enola was home-schooled by her mother, who, in her unconventional way, taught Enola to fight, shoot a bow and arrow, read, learn ciphers, question everything, and, most importantly, not to be afraid to change the world and forge her own path in life.

All this in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. We need her now in this messed up, hateful, orange world.

When Enola turned 16…..Eudoria disappeared….leaving behind birthday presents for Enola that were clues to her whereabouts and a means to communicate with her….if Enola can figure them out.

Unfortunately, Mycroft, being the oldest, was now in charge of Enola and decided to send her to finishing school.

Having none of that: Enola ran away (to find her mother) and, in the process, had the adventure of a lifetime while helping to change the world. You go, Enola! 🙂

“Enola Holmes” is a fantastic movie about the power we all have, as individuals, when we choose to do what’s right and forge our own path.

YOU can change the world! #Vote on Nov 3, 2020.
