
Veronica Krause (Olivia Holt) is working hard in high school. She is getting great grades and volunteering for everything all in the hopes of being accepted into Yale. Her ultimate goal is to, eventually, be nominated to the Supreme Court.
Unfortunately, Veronica’s high aspirations are shot down when she finds out that she was only ranked #2 in her high school class!

Bernard Flannigan (Skyler Gisondo) is a unique kid who has attended every city council meeting since he was 8 years old, and he comments at every meeting. Not unexpectedly, his comments / suggestions fall on deaf old ears. But he persists.
Bernard rides his bike everywhere, is quietly polite to everyone, and takes care of his aging grandfather, Oswald (Bruce Dern).
At the latest council meeting, Veronica meets Bernard…..and….
