“Greenland” Movie Review

Turn your brain off and enjoy the movie. Turn your brain on……too many questions / issues.

Like: It sucks to be near Gerard Butler! Everywhere he goes: Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Upstate New York, Canada, Greenland…. another piece of the comet drops and destroys another large city or teeny tiny car, on land, when the Earth is 70% water and is spinning, and he is unscathed! Enough of that.

Brain OFF!

John (Gerard Butler) and Allison Garrity (Morena Baccarin) are having a hard time with their marriage. But they are working thru the issues, mostly because of their diabetic son, Nathan (Roger Dale Floyd).

A structural engineer, Garrity is, unknown to him, on a secret list of people, and their familes, that will be saved if needed.

Well……with Clarke the Comet heading towards Earth…..the Garrity family needs to be evacuated and brought to bunkers in Greenland so they can survive the coming apocolypse.

Allison, Nathan, John

After experiencing a near miss, they live near Tampa Bay, the Garrity family hops in their car headed to Robins AFB in Georgia to grab a plane to Greenland.

BUT…….no one with an illness is allowed! The family gets separated while comet pieces keep dropping….on land….killing millions.

Then……the BIG comet piece, the planet killer…..

Oh, to see what happens you can watch this movie on HBO. 🙂

“Greenland” is an exciting, tense, look at how people react in times of stress, how comets seem to zero in on land-based targets, and how great Gerard Butler is as an actor! It is a fun, action-packed, brainless (and keep it that way) movie. 😉
