NOTE: When the book first came out, I was turned off by it. Don’t remember why, but, that dislike has lasted until this day. In fact, I was very hesitant to watch this movie, but, Lori, wanted to watch it, and Katie Holmes and Josh Lucas are in it, and we like them both. Soooo….
Miranda Wells (Katie Holmes) is a struggling single mom (Dad was killed in a plane crash a few years ago) raising three kids: Missy (Sarah Hoffmeister), Greg (Aidan Pierce Brennan), and Bess (Chloe Lee).
She is dating, and working for, Tucker (Jerry O’Connell). She is eeking by, and Jerry is a nice guy…it’s just not love.
A hurricane hits the area just as a visitor, Bray (Josh Lucas), arrives with a package for Miranda.
Miranda never got the package due to the storm, but, Bray sitcks around to help fix her roof and……
Oh….to see what happens, you will have to watch the movie. 🙂
“The Secret: Dare to Dream” is a nice family movie with an uplifiting theme that positive thoughts are good things. I will never read the book, but, the movie is pretty darn good. And the cast is terrific.
