After the death of his mother, emerging poet, Hal Flynn (Paul Peterson), travels to Taormina, Italy for inspiration and time to honor his mother who left him some money to pursue his passion.
Arriving in Taormina he happens upon a woman singing and playing guitar in a plaza by the ocean, and recognizes her as the singer of a hit folk song!
He introduces himself to Josie Day (Andrea von Kampen) and the two of them find an immediate connection.
Turns out that Josie is trying to undo writers block as she struggles to write another song, and, to make matters worse, she just had a fight with her fiancee and has no idea where her relationship is headed at the moment.
Instead of staying at a hotel, Josie invites Hal to stay with her forming a platonic writers “retreat” where the poet and musician may work creatively.

Then…..
Oh, to see what happens you can hurry before it leaves Amazon Prime in a few days, or, hopefully, find it on your fav streamer. 🙂
“A Chance Encounter” is a terrific, low budget, low key, indie set in beautiful Italy. The music and poems are beyond great and Paul Peterson and Andrea von Kampen are fantastic! We loved it!
