Movie Review: “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”

Peter Parker (Chris Pine) is Spider-Man.

The one and only Spider-man.

You know the story, so we can move on quickly to……

Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) teen wunderkid who has just been accepted to a top high school in New York City, and, with the help of his policeman dad….he moves in.

There, Miles meets Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) and visits with his Uncle Aaron (Mahershala Ali).

Uncle Aaron is not the most law-abiding citizen and takes Miles underground to do some graffitti where……Miles gets bitten by a spider.

That night…..Miles….turns into……Spider-Man!

The one and only Spider-man!

Or so he thinks.

Wilson Fisk (Liev Schreiber) has built a super-collider to, hopefully, take him to meet with his wife and child who died several years ago (he blames Spider-man….the one and only Spider-man).

That collider does something weird (like opening up the multiverse) and……

Penni Parker (Kimiko Glenn), Gwen, Spider-Ham (John Mulaney), Miles, Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson), Spider-man Noir (Nicolas Cage)

Oh, to see what happens you can stream this move on your favorite streamer.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is a fun, if somewhat (VERY) confusing, trip into the multiverse where many Spider-super-powered beings (humans, pigs, etc) exist. After a strong start, it quickly got confusing and, oddly, a bit boring, but, it picked up steam again towards the end.
