By day, Gary Johnson (Glen Powell) is a mild-mannered college professor, but, at night……Gary becomes a hit man!
Well, not a real hit man, but, a cop pretending to be a hit man so he could arrest the person wanting the hit…..and save a life in the process.
Fitting his hit man persona for each “client” he is very successful, with tons of arrests and long prison terms.
Then Gary meets a woman who wants her husband offed, Madison (Adria Arjona), and his life changes, ah, hmmmm…..forever……. 😉

“Hit Man” has a really interesting premise (mild mannered college professor turned hit man), it just does not deliver that premise without slowing down in the middle (but, knowing the director, incessant yapping is his style). Once you make it thru those boring parts, it sparkles, and has a cool ending.
