“Twisters” Movie Review

Kate (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is leading a team of five people chasing F1 (the weakest) tornados (see the tornado intensity scale here) to help her test her theory on how to snuff out the tornado before it becomes a killer.

Unfortunately, she and her team come up against an F5 (the strongest) tornado and three team members die.

Now

Kate (blaming herself for the deaths of her friends) is a Meterologist in New York City, when she gets a visit from the other survivor, Javi (Anthony Ramos), who has a business gathering data on tornados….he needs her expertise.

She reluctantly agrees…but only for one week.

Back in Oklahoma, her new team is ready to gather data on a tornado using a trio of portable phased array radar(s) when a yahoo YouTube cowboy, Tyler (Glen Powell), interrupts their research. Asshole.

“Twisters” is an action packed thriller with great special effects. Worth the 2 hours and 2 minutes of your time. Whew.

For future reference: We used our brand new Bose soundbar and sub woofer for the first time….and……the sound was freakin awesome with THUNDEROUS bass that easily rivals that “theater” that is going the way of the dodo bird!
