“Nonnas” Movie Review

Growing up in a close Italian family in New York, Joe Scaravella (Vince Vaughn) loved his grandmother’s (Nonnas) and mother’s cooking.

Now that his mother has passed away, Joe, after caring for her for many years, has no one and, other than his boring job, nothing to do.

Rather than being depressed, he decides to honor the memory of his Nonna and mother the best way he knows how.

With food!

Joe buys a restaurant on Staten Island and hires “Nonnas” to do the cooking.

Gia (Susan Sarandon), Antonella (Brenda Vaccaro), Roberta (Lorraine Bracco, Teresa (Talia Shire)

He wants the place to be like family. A home away from home.

Cozy, with great food, and real life Nonnas.

A sure success, right?

Well…..

To see what happens you can STREAM this movie on Netflix. 🙂

“Nonnas” is based on a true story and is a heartwarming drama that is sure to bring a tear to your eye. Vince Vaughn and the Nonnas are superb.
