Four seniors citizens, Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Ron (Pierce Brosnan), Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley), and Joyce (Celia Imrie) run “The Thursday Murder Club” at their senior citizen home, to investigate, and hopefully solve, cold case murders.
These seniors are now investigating the murder of a woman who was stabbed in her apartment then thrown out the second story window just as her lover was coming to visit.
She was dead.
Unfortunately, her lover later disappeared and the case was put in cold storage.
Until now.
Needing help from the police (this is a cozy mystery), they “recruit” Constable Donna de Freitas (Naomi Ackle).
And get to work solving this cold case and a couple of new…….

“The Thursday Murder Club” is mystery-light in the form of a cozy mystery. But it is quite interesting in that the clues and suspects come and go until the shocking ending! Not for kids under 50….or 60. 🙂

A Cozy: Has humor, the violence is mild (and mostly off camera), the amateurs need professional help. Think of any Hallmark mystery, or “Murder She Wrote” with Angela Lansbury.
