Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) has “retired” from Formula 1 racing and is now a driver for hire. He just won the Daytona 500 and wants to race in Baja.
Meeting an old friend, Ruben Cervantes (Javier Barden), he is offered a job that, truthfully no 60+ year old washed up F1 driver could turn down: To mentor a young very promising driver, Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), and help save Ruben’s struggling Formula 1 racing team.

“F1: The Movie” is movie-lite with lots of racing action, a terrific cast, and an interesting plot leaning pretty heavily towards racing fans. As we learn, for 60+ year old Sonny, racing / driving is not about the money….
