Purpose:

A lasting legacy to our lovely, talented, intelligent daughter and friend.

Scholarship Amount:

2012 GOAL:  We plan to award TWO $1,000 Carol Phan College Scholarships to deserving Tracy students.

The 2011 $1,000 scholarship provided assistance to Tracy High IB student Caitlin Dong.  She is now attending U.C. Berkeley.

How We Save The Money:

1. The first $1,000 goes to a graduating Tracy High IB or Ag Sci student.
2. The next $1,000 will go to ANY deserving Tracy, CA student including home-school.
3. Any money after that will go for:  Teacher / classroom supplies, fundraising (T-Shirts, Mugs, Competitions, Food, etc), and next years scholarships.

Status as of Feb 5, 2012

In the bank for 2012 (Scholarships always come first):

• $1,000 for a Tracy High IB / Ag Sci student (2012 GOAL REACHED)
• $595.86 for ANY Tracy, CA student (2012 need: $404.14 to reach $1,000)
• $0.00 for classroom supplies (See our first shopping spree!)
• $0.00 for T-Shirts, Mugs, etc. (I owe some people T-shirts…arrrgh).

2013 Scholarships

• $1,000 for Tracy High IB / Ag Sci student (2013 GOAL REACHED)

Fundraiser Dollars Raised

• Chilaberries, July 20, 2011:  $125.00
• Scentsy Fundraiser, November 5, 2011: $121.00
• WIN and iPAD2 NOOK Tablet, December 21, 2011:  $155.00
• Save Mart SHARES (ongoing) so far: $171.53

Scholarship Requirements:

A student must have a 3.5 GPA, or above, and been accepted to a 4 year college or university.  The selection is based on:

1. GPA and acceptance to a 4 year college or university
2. Creativity of the application
3. Quality of the application

Scholarship Duration:

We hope to provide this scholarship in Carol’s name forever.  Donations will be welcome year round for many years to come.  Never forget!
