“Artemis Fowl” Movie Review and Trailer

Fairies are real.

Artemis Fowl Sr. (Colin Farrell) knows this to be true and, in fact, he helped a fairy (Beechwood Short) hide the most precious and powerful fairy weapon / artifact, the Aculos, from a bad fairy intent on destroying all human life.

Good job, Artemis, but, sadly, Beechwood lost his life hiding the Aculos thus protecting the world. 😦

Years later….Artemis has one last task to take care of, but, he knows that his 12 year old son, Artemis Jr. (Ferdia Shaw), is ready to pick up the story if something happens.

Guess what?

Something happens, and Sr. is taken captive by the bad fairy, and the ransom demanded is the Aculos.

Artemis Jr. has three days to get the Aculos, or his father will die.

Hatching a plan to get his father back, and return the priceless Aculos back to the fairies, Atemis Jr. recruits his butler, Dom (Nonso Anozie), fairy Captain Holly Short (Lara McDonnell), and giant dwarf, Mulch Diggums (Josh Gad).

Together the four amigos kick some major butt, and…….

Oh, to see what happens, you will have to stream the movie on Disney+ 🙂

“Artemis Fowl” is a fun, action packed, fantasy that is WAY better than the so-called reviewers are giving it credit for (you do need to pay attention). I watched it twice! 🙂 Sure it’s different than the book, but, so was Harry Potter, and just about any movie based on a book….get over it. Like you read the book anyway…..DUH.
