“Yes Day” Movie Review

Allison (Jennifer Garner) grew up always saying “yes” to a good time, but, now that she is married with kids, she has become a “no” mom.

Allison says “no” so much that her older kids, Katie (Jenna Ortega) and Nando (Julian Lerner), write haikus and make videos comparing her to the worlds most famous dictators. The youngest, Ellie (Everly Carganilla) is happy, while, Dad, Carlos (Edgar Ramirez) is the “fun” dad.

Taking the advice of a really stupid person, Allison agrees to try a “Yes Day” where, within bounds, the parents say “yes” to the kids. Note: That NEVER happened in this family, and if we had to do it over again, it would still NEVER happen.

“Yes” day arrives and……

Oh, to see what happens, you will have to watch the movie on Netflix. 🙂

“Yes Day” is a stupid concept, but a fun, sometimes hilarious, movie that the kids love (and push the boundaries of good parenting) while the parents seem to have fun too…….even though it is a really really stupid idea. But, I think I mentioned that already. 🙂
