Mary Parsons is an 18 year old high school senior looking forward to visiting colleges, in California, with her father, Rob (Vincent Duvall), who happens to be the Mayor of their small town, Echo Harbor.
Unfortunately, Echo Harbor is losing most of it’s businesses. Many of the buildings are abandoned and / or are scheduled to be demolished: The local ice cream store and senior citizen home included.
The very stressful duties of Mayorship are taking all of Rob’s energy (so much so that he left his wife and daughter to live with his father, Pat (Corbin Bernsen). And now…..he can’t even make the college tour trip with Mary.
That was the last straw……
Mary decides she can do better for the town, and for her family….and runs for Mayor!
Recruiting a bunch of high school friends to help with her campaign (which will look good on everyone’s college applications), the kids, working with senior citizens and local business people……

“Mary 4 Mayor” is a sweet, low budget, movie with a nice message of hope, friendship, family, and love in a world full of deceit. We loved it! Trivia: It was filmed in Smithfield, VA.
We have seen several movies directed, produced, or starring Corbin, and they are all terrific family movies. In fact, if I remember correctly, one was filmed out our way…..in Modesto, CA.
