A comet is headed towards Earth. The world is ready as the countries send up a ton of missles / rockets at the comet and break it apart!
The world was saved…..
Ah…..not!
The fallout radiation from all those missles mutated insects, amphibians, and other cold blooded creatures into MONSTERS that killed 95 percent of the human population, and effectively rule the world.
Now (7 years later)
The humans that are left are hiding in colonies protected (they hope) from the monsters.
Lovers from 7 years ago, Aimee (Jessica Henwick) and Joel (Dylan O’Brien), were separated into different colonies. Just recently, Joel found Aimee and decides to leave his underground colony to join her.
It’s dangerous up there, but, Joel is determined. Luckily he is adopted by a dog, Boy (Hero and Dodge), who saves Joel’s life several times. He also runs into grizzled survivors, Clyde (Michael Rooker) and Minnow (Ariana Greenblatt) who teach Joel how to survive topside.

“Love and Monsters” is a fun, action packed, tense, post apocalyptic movie that Dylan is very comfortable with. 🙂
